About Shoshin Movement
What we do at Shoshin Movement is very different to what you might expect from an average gym. We are a facility where we utilise our own bodies for developing skills, strength, mobility and overall physical development.
This spans across the realms of gymnastics strength training, handbalancing, barbell strength & conditioning, flexibility practices, ground movement and locomotive exploration, prehab/rehab and much, much more.
Our aim is to help everyday people build the foundations of physical training - giving them the freedom to move, feel and perform better through our a dynamic approach to strength, mobility and play.
Our dynamic tribe sees the value in quality movement and come from all walks of life.
We work with adults of all ages, from early 20s, right up to 70. Some members have goals related to specific skills, while others are based around simple lifestyle changes. Some are dedicated to enhancing a specific sport, while others are hobbyists or general “gym goers”. The point is, everyone needs to move better - and Shoshin Movement is where their journey begins.
Our progression based curriculum is specifically designed and tailored to meet the demands of our member's abilities and skill levels in a supportive and friendly environment.
Your New Role
Just like our training philosophy, we value quality above quantity and want to ensure that our new coach is a great fit for our classes and community.
The classes you will take have a focus on strength and movement, in the areas of:
Gymnastic strength training - such as chinups, dips, rows, pushups, handstands, levers; and so on.
Lower body strength - barbell strength, Olympic weightlifting, plyometric work, sled work, agility work and other leg oriented movement.
Mobility work - different modalities of stretching.
Other skills - such as juggling, balance work, ground movement and partner games.
Our curriculum runs in blocks of 4-6 week mesocycles, and the class programming will already be laid out for you.
If you don’t quite have knowledge or experience in these areas of training, but still would love to take on the opportunity, speak to us about becoming a member of our studio to learn about our curriculum.
